Police Confirm One Dead After Clash Near Ataoja’s Palace During Davido’s Osogbo Visit

A 60-year-old man, Tajudeen Yusuf, was reportedly shot dead after a clash near the Ataoja of Osogbo’s palace in Osun State. The incident happened on Wednesday while Governor Ademola Adeleke and his nephew, Afrobeats singer Davido, were visiting the monarch. Police said two groups clashed outside the palace, leading to gunfire in the Itaolokan area. According to the Osun State Police Command, a suspected thug known as “Small Rugged” allegedly tried to gain access to Davido but was stopped by the singer’s security team. The confrontation reportedly escalated afterwards.
