She Ignores My Calls and Messages – Is That a Deal-Breaker for Marriage?

I’m frustrated by how she treats our relationship. She’s a good person with a steady job but rarely answers my calls or replies to my messages. In person we talk easily and can spend hours gisting. Offline, everything feels fine. Yet she barely responds when we’re apart. I’ve complained many times and she always apologizes. But nothing changes. I’m starting to think she doesn’t value this relationship the way I do. Is poor communication enough reason to call off our marriage plans?

Do you think her slow replies off-camera mean she's not invested, or could there be other reasons behind the silence?

Could her slow replies stem from something like network issues or a hectic schedule instead of disinterest?

It seems odd that someone who chats effortlessly in person treats remote communication like an afterthought.

I feel you—when someone's so talkative in person then barely responds online, it really throws you off.

Maybe she values space over constant check-ins, and pressuring her for replies might be pushing beyond her comfort zone.

You could agree on set times for calls or use voice notes to bridge that responsiveness gap when you're apart.
