Final Day in Kigali: Factory Tours, Traditional Flavors & a Fond Farewell
My last morning in Kigali began quietly. After breakfast at RAAVA, I toured the Pink Mango factory. I saw how local textiles are cut and sewn. The facility holds global certifications and welcomes small designers with low minimum orders. It felt powerful to see African fashion staying on African soil. At Republic Bar, I savored cassava ugali, Isombe, beans, and goat stew. Each bite reminded me of home and highlighted Rwanda’s rich flavors. Afrobeats played softly, a warm reminder that Nigeria never felt far away. By evening, I returned to Mövenpick Kigali. I packed slowly, reflecting on the city’s hills, its warmth, and the generosity of its people. Leaving felt bittersweet, but I know my heart will always hold a piece of Kigali hopeful for my return.
