DIG Fayoade Pledges Professional Policing and Community Partnership in Osun State

DIG Fayoade Pledges Professional Policing and Community Partnership in Osun State

The Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of ICT and supervising the South-West Zone paid an official visit to the Osun State Command. He reaffirmed the Force’s dedication to sustaining peace, strengthening public confidence, and ensuring effective policing across the state. During the tour, DIG Fayoade conveyed the Inspector-General’s goodwill and commended the command for recovering arms and ammunition while tackling cult-related incidents in the current electioneering period. He praised the state Commissioner for providing purposeful leadership and applauded officers for their professionalism and dedication. Emphasising the apolitical nature of the Nigeria Police Force, he urged officers to remain impartial and disciplined in line with the Constitution. He also called on traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups and civil society to sustain timely intelligence-sharing and collaborative security efforts. The DIG capped his visit by meeting the Ataoja of Osogbo to thank all traditional rulers for their support. He announced additional police deployments to further reinforce safety and stability across Osun State.
