Amotekun Rescues Two Kidnapped Fulani Herders in Ondo Forest
Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun Corps, have rescued two young Fulani herders abducted while grazing cattle near the Ondo–Edo boundary. The herders were reported missing after they failed to return from the Owo forest area. Their families alerted Amotekun, which launched a search operation and traced the kidnappers’ hideout deep in the forest. Ondo Amotekun Commander Adetunji Adeleye said the abductors fled after discovering their camp had been located. The two victims were found alive and unharmed. The operation highlights continuing concerns about kidnappings in forest communities and the pressure on security agencies to dismantle criminal camps.
