He said these changes will equip young Nigerians with practical skills and prepare them for national development. According to the president, the Federal Executive Council approved the reforms on Monday as part of his administration’s promise to create meaningful opportunities for women and young people. He stressed that while the NYSC has served national unity for over five decades, today’s realities demand a fresh approach. Tinubu added that young Nigerians, who make up nearly 70% of the population, “are not a burden to be managed… They are the engine” of the country’s progress.
