Nigerian Defender Godwin Itotomi Joins Stade de Reims on Loan

Nigerian defender Godwin Itotomi has joined French Ligue 2 side Stade de Reims on a season-long loan from Grassrunners FC. The agreement includes an option for Reims to make the transfer permanent. The 18-year-old centre-back will begin with the club’s youth setup as he works towards a place in the reserve and senior teams. He earned the move after impressing the coaching staff during a trial. Itotomi featured in friendly matches against Paris Saint-Germain and Eintracht Frankfurt, while also training and playing with Reims’ reserve side. The move gives the young defender an opportunity to continue his development in European football.
