Katsina Hisbah Launches Operation Happy Sallah with Mass Haircuts in Sabuwa
Officials of the Katsina State Hisbah Commission in Sabuwa Division have shaved the hair of several young men across the town. The initiative took place during the Eid celebration on March 21, 2026. The operation, dubbed Operation Happy Sallah, aimed to curb inappropriate behaviour, noise and public disturbances. Officers moved through various neighbourhoods to enforce the commission’s dress and conduct guidelines. Hisbah commander DC Malam Idris Hayatu stressed the importance of maintaining law and order and protecting public dignity. He called on young people to uphold good character and avoid actions that could disrupt community harmony.
