Mr President: Prioritize Nigerian Contractors or Risk Our Economy

This goes beyond a policy error. It has become a pattern that weakens our economy. The government borrows in the name of Nigerians yet pays foreign contractors while local firms that have completed work remain unpaid. These contractors face collapsing businesses, unpaid staff, mounting bank debts and ruined livelihoods. This approach strengthens foreign dependence and undermines local capacity. More enterprises will fold, more jobs will vanish and public trust will erode if this continues. Mr President, pay Nigerian contractors now. Every day of delay deepens the suffering of citizens and damages our shared future. Act immediately to safeguard Nigeria’s economy.
