Niger Delta Forum Demands Transparency on CDP’s 5% Nigeria Divestment
The Niger Delta Transparency Forum has called on Italy’s national development bank, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, to explain a reported 5% divestment in Nigeria. Secretary-General Ebikade Moses wants details on the due diligence and disclosure processes. He asked whether shareholders were informed and if the board addressed all governance considerations. The group also seeks clarity on any direct shareholder links between CDP and Eni. It urged that this issue be added to the agenda of the upcoming CDP shareholders meeting.
