LASCODA Staff Petition Alleges GM Olajumoke Ola’s Financial Misconduct and Intimidation
A group of LASCODA employees has officially petitioned the Lagos State Head of Service. They accuse General Manager Olajumoke Ola of running the agency in a hostile, high-handed manner. Staff allege financial recklessness and workplace intimidation. Since March 2025, approved funds for projects and festive welfare were reportedly withheld. The agency skipped its annual retreat and failed to fund World Coconut Day properly, despite allocated budgets. Employees say approved training and stakeholder engagements never took place. The petition, copied to the State House of Assembly and key agricultural officials, calls for a full investigation. Instead of probing the claims, the ministry held a meeting where staff aired grievances in the GM’s presence, deepening doubts about impartiality. Observers warn that unchecked mismanagement harms agency performance and morale. Experts are urging the Lagos State Government to audit its agencies, curb workplace bullying, and safeguard taxpayer funds.
