Why Did Governor Fubara Back the NDC Proxy Instead of ADC in Rivers State?

I believe supporting ADC would have been smarter. It could rally local opposition figures like Amaechi to join the fight for Rivers’ freedom alongside the governor. Right now, the governor can’t do it alone. If he openly backs the NDC, ADC will accuse him of being anti-party and could push for his impeachment. He already leads a group of influential leaders who share his vision. Peter Obi’s popularity might draw youth to ADC, but he won’t focus on Rivers politics the way local bigwigs will. What do you all think?

It seems the NDC proxy might offer more immediate political cover for the governor than rallying local opposition under ADC would provide.

I no sure say ADC fit gather Amaechi faction better pass NDC, considering party loyalties and personal ambitions.

The governor could host joint town halls with both party leaders to ease tensions and demonstrate a more inclusive approach.
