Kogi Police Graduates 565 Officers from Intensive Firearms Training
Kogi State Police Command has wrapped up a two-month firearms programme for 565 constables. The training focused on weapon handling, marksmanship and firearm safety to boost operational effectiveness across the state. At the passing-out parade in Lokoja, Commissioner Naziru Bello Kankarofi commended the officers for their discipline and dedication. He highlighted the blend of practical and theoretical sessions designed to reinforce professionalism, accountability and respect for human rights. The commissioner urged the new graduates to use their skills responsibly for the protection of lives and property. He also acknowledged the support of the Inspector-General of Police in prioritising personnel development and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to ongoing capacity building.
