Suspected gunmen have shot dead Letam Kine, the former Chief Security Officer of Khana Local Government Area, along Polytechnic Road in Bori, Rivers State. The attack reportedly happened at about 6 p.m. on Sunday. Rivers State Police spokesperson ASP Blessing Agabe said the assailants fled before security personnel arrived. Kine's body has been deposited in a mortuary pending an autopsy. Police say a full investigation is underway to identify and prosecute those responsible. Khana LGA Chairman Thomas Bariere described the killing as alarming, noting that it followed the recent murder of Clement Deegbara in Kpong Community.
