He also remembered a priest in Port Harcourt whose simple, contented lifestyle left a lasting impression on him. According to Buchi, the priest said he had few material needs and little use for the money he received. Buchi praised Cardinal John Onaiyekan for speaking frankly to the President, describing the cleric's stance as courageous. He said the experiences reminded him that Christians, despite denominational differences, are one family.
