I followed the clues through Rema’s 2023 RAVAGE era, its blood-red imagery and the track “Smooth Criminal.” One theory points to REDASH, combining red with ash as a symbol of what remains after destruction. A stronger alternative may be REDRUM. “Red” fits the bleeding-world imagery, while “rum” can refer to a residue of sugar refining. Read backwards, REDRUM becomes “murder,” matching the riddle’s instruction to return to the crime and its references to The Shining and Doctor Sleep. My best guess is that Rema’s next album could be titled REDRUM, with REDASH as a possible alternative.
