Saka’s Rebound Denies Lookman Historic UCL Final Debut

Saka’s Rebound Denies Lookman Historic UCL Final Debut — 1 of 8
1 / 8

Bukayo Saka scored a 44th-minute rebound to send Arsenal into only their second ever Champions League final with a 2-1 aggregate win over Atletico Madrid. Ademola Lookman was kept off the scoresheet. He managed zero shots, created no chances, and was substituted after 57 minutes. Had Atletico advanced, Lookman would have become only the fourth Nigerian man to appear in a UCL final, joining Finidi George, Nwankwo Kanu and John Obi Mikel. Arsenal now head to the final in Budapest, while Lookman turns his focus to a super Eagles summer and a chance to rebuild his form.

That rebound win seems a bit lucky; Atletico's defense wasn't completely helpless despite the aggregate loss.

Focus training sessions on improving service into wide areas and creating clear-cut chances for Lookman before the Champions League final.
