“Treat Us Like Humans”: Nigerian Lady Urges Korean Embassy to Improve Visa Process

In a video shared online, a Nigerian woman described her frustrating experience at the South Korean Embassy in Lagos. She said applicants were forced to sit on pavements under the scorching sun for hours, with no organised waiting area. She arrived around 9:30am, received a queue number, but was later told no more applications would be accepted after 11am—forcing her to make another trip. Some travellers came from as far as Abia and Ibadan, only to wait all day and be turned back. The woman urged the embassy to return to an appointment-based system. She argued this would reduce overcrowding, spare applicants unnecessary journeys and ensure they are treated with dignity.
