Ashaiman Police Bust Woman Attempting to Smuggle Drugs to Boyfriend in Custody

Police in Ashaiman, Ghana, intercepted a 21-year-old woman who tried to deliver suspected narcotics to her boyfriend behind bars. Station officers discovered four tablets of a substance believed to be Timaking (also called Red) hidden inside a pie. Investigators say the detainee used a smuggled phone to instruct his girlfriend to conceal the pills in the food along with yoghurt. Both have admitted involvement. The woman was remanded and will appear in court on May 21, 2026, as police continue their inquiries.
