Bauchi Police Bust Mobile Phone Snatching Ring, Arrest Twin Brothers and Five Others

Bauchi State Police recently dismantled an armed robbery ring behind mobile phone snatching in the Tafawa Balewa Estate area. Operatives responded to a distress call on May 23 and arrested seven suspects, including twin brothers. A machete and a knife were recovered during the operation. Two victims have been identified and their statements recorded. Investigation is ongoing to track down other members still at large. The case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a thorough follow-up. The police commissioner commended the swift action and urged the public to continue sharing credible information to help curb violent crime.
