Houthis Launch Missiles at Southern Israel; Iranian Cluster Warhead Kills Man in Tel Aviv
For the first time in this conflict, Yemen’s Houthi rebels fired a missile toward southern Israel. The projectile was intercepted after sirens alerted residents in Beersheba and an early warning was issued in Eilat. Just before midnight, an Iranian cluster warhead struck central Tel Aviv. A man in his 60s was killed after failing to seek cover near the impact zone. Three others were wounded, and debris landed in Givatayim and Ramat Gan. Earlier in the morning, Israeli air defenses intercepted another Iranian missile aimed at the center of the country. Overnight, additional launches from Lebanon and Yemen were reported, though no further casualties were confirmed. The military also conducted retaliatory strikes near Tehran and Beirut. In related incidents, missile debris injured civilians in the UAE, and Saudi defenses intercepted an Iranian ballistic missile. Meanwhile, U.S. leadership issued unverified claims about Iran’s supreme guard.
