IGP Disu Orders Officers to Wear Name Tags, Shares State Police Plan

Inspector General Tunji Disu has directed all police personnel to display their name tags on uniforms for easy public identification. Only undercover officers are exempt from this requirement. Disu made the announcement at a meeting with Commissioners of Police, emphasizing that every incident within their jurisdiction falls under their control. He underscored the need for transparency and accountability across the force. On state policing, the IGP revealed that the force conducted extensive comparative analysis and submitted its recommendations to the National Assembly.
