Abia Professor Blasts Deputy Speaker Kalu as 'Unpatriotic Element'

Professor Chidi Kamalu has launched a blistering attack on Deputy Speaker Benjamin Okezie Kalu. In a press release in Umuahia on Sunday, he called Kalu unpatriotic and devoid of integrity. He accused the deputy speaker of targeting Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, his political benefactor. Kamalu said Orji Kalu rescued Benjamin from obscurity abroad and elevated him in politics and business. Drawing a contrast, the professor urged Kalu to study former Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila’s respectful conduct towards President Tinubu. He warned that Kalu’s backers would abandon him if consequences arise. As of press time, the Deputy Speaker’s office had not issued any response to these allegations.
