Major Power Outage Cuts Supply to Abuja’s Presidential Villa, Supreme Court and Airport
Abuja Electricity Distribution Company has announced a widespread blackout in key parts of the capital. A technical fault disrupted power at the Presidential Villa, Supreme Court, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport and surrounding districts. Areas hit include Asokoro, Lugbe, Central Area and Garki (Areas 2, 3, 7 and 8). Embassies, hotels, government offices and residential streets also lost supply. AEDC says the Transmission Company of Nigeria’s technical team is on site working to restore electricity. The distribution company apologises for the inconvenience and thanks customers for their patience.
