Three Killed, One Injured in Fresh Plateau State Attack After President’s Visit

On Friday evening, gunmen ambushed a motorbike carrying youths in Nyamgo Gyel, Jos South LGA, Plateau State. Three men—aged 35 to 38—were killed and one was injured as they returned from a mining site. Community leaders say they had warned about suspicious movements around Gero and nearby villages. The victims had stepped out to observe Good Friday before the attack. Police later evacuated the lone survivor to a hospital. The incident came less than 24 hours after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met grieving families in Jos North. He had vowed that such violence would not recur.
