Chief Godwin Ubaka Okeke of GUO Transport has handed over five new classroom blocks to Archbishop Onyemelukwe Grammar School in Oroma-Etiti, Anam West. Unveiled during a special thanksgiving mass marking his 77th birthday and his wife’s celebration, the donation aims to relieve overcrowding and improve learning conditions. He pledged ₦100 million in scholarship funds over the next five years and announced plans for an agrarian community store to preserve farm produce, boost local revenue, and reduce food wastage. He called on indigenes and corporate partners to adopt and support secondary schools through donations, renovations, and scholarships. The Bishop of Niger East hailed the gesture as a model of service to God and humanity, while traditional rulers and community leaders praised the intervention’s impact. The event also featured a foundation‐laying ceremony for a new church building and the official commissioning of the classroom blocks.

Schools should form a committee including parents and teachers to oversee fund allocation and ensure continued support for these new classrooms.
