The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested four men in Oruk Anam Local Government Area over alleged attempted murder, malicious damage and cult-related activities. Spokesman DSP Timfon John said officers acted on a petition and credible intelligence during an operation on March 20 at Ikot Asukpong village. Investigators recovered a locally fabricated pistol and two long guns. The suspects are John Samson (45), Emmanuel Asuquo (50), Idorenyin Umoh (22) and Okon Akpan (70). Their arrest marks a significant breakthrough in the command’s efforts to curb violent crime in the state. The police assured residents that the area is calm and under control.
