A five-member student team from Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike has advanced to the in-person stage of the Russia–Africa Forum of Young Scientists in St. Petersburg. The multidisciplinary group includes Ikpa Chidozie, Ugota Chibuike, Nwojiji Emmanuella, Onela Patience, and Agu Jeremiah. They will present "An AI-Driven Framework for Rapid Soil Stability Assessment Towards Sustainable Infrastructure Development," a collaboration between Civil Engineering, Geophysics, and Computer Science under Prof. Onuegbu O. Ugwu. This achievement underlines AE-FUNAI’s growing global reputation in AI innovation and sustainable infrastructure research. It also highlights the university’s commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and research excellence. The Vice-Chancellor congratulates the students, their supervisor, and the Research and Development Directorate and wishes them success as they represent AE-FUNAI, Nigeria, and Africa on the international stage.
