Anambra Students Laud Hon. Ogene’s Scholarship Drive for Youth Empowerment

Students of Anambra State praised Hon. Victor Afam Ogene for his scholarship initiative at the 2026 NUASS Cultural Fiesta held at Awka City Stadium. NUASS President Felix Nwachinemelu recalled Ogene’s recent award ceremony, where 75 undergraduates in Medicine, Engineering, Chinese Language and Mass Communication received support. He also commended the lawmaker for hosting them at the National Assembly and guiding their festival planning. Represented by his legislative aide and a local editor, Ogene urged students to value education as the greatest wealth. He donated ₦500,000 to encourage future programs and celebrated Igbo heritage under the theme “Ogene Odogwu Na Omenala.” The NUASS leader praised Governor Soludo’s youth empowerment and infrastructure projects. He also appealed for reliable power supply and acknowledged other donors who contributed over ₦3 million to the students.
