Danjuma Vows Nasarawa Amazons Will Secure President Cup Final Spot

Danjuma Vows Nasarawa Amazons Will Secure President Cup Final Spot

Nasarawa Amazons head coach Chris Danjuma is confident his side can reach the final of the women’s President Federation Cup when they face Sunshine Queens today at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu. The Amazons booked their semi-final place after edging Edo Queens 5-3 on penalties in the quarter-final. Danjuma says the team must carry the same focus, discipline and winning mentality into this high-stakes clash. “We have worked hard to reach this stage, and now we must give everything on the pitch,” Danjuma said. “Sunshine Queens are a strong side, but we believe in our quality and our ability to achieve our objective. The players must remain focused and fight for every ball.” FC Robo Queens and Heartland Queens meet in the other semi-final. The final is scheduled for Saturday, 11 June at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.

Confidence is good, but Sunshine Queens have been hungry this season. Amazons can't just assume a win without tightening their defence.

If Chris Danjuma wants a solid performance, he should focus on set piece drills and defensive organisation before kick off in Enugu.
