Terry Rozier Faces New Federal Bribery Charges in Alleged Betting Scheme
NBA guard Terry Rozier is set to face additional federal charges for allegedly soliciting and accepting bribes in a gambling scheme. Prosecutors told a court they will present sports bribery and honest service fraud charges to a grand jury in mid-May. Rozier’s lawyer says he learned of the possible superseding indictment just hours before the hearing on a motion to dismiss his initial wire fraud counts. The case stems from an alleged deal in March 2023, when Rozier reportedly agreed to exit a game early and passed that info to an associate. Seven men, including former player-coach Damon Jones, have already been charged in the wider scheme.
