45-Year-Old Arraigned Over Alleged N3 Million Kuwait Visa Scam

45-Year-Old Arraigned Over Alleged N3 Million Kuwait Visa Scam

A 45-year-old man, Michael Aduragbemi, appeared before the Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly obtaining N3 million by false pretence. He faces three counts: conspiracy, obtaining money by false pretence and stealing. Prosecutors say he collected the funds from a complainant, Funke Adeyinka, between July and August 2025 by promising to process a Kuwait working visa. The offences violate sections 287, 314 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. Magistrate N.A. Layeni granted him bail in the sum of N1 million with two sureties. One surety must be a recognised community leader; the other must provide proof of tax payment, bank statements for the last six months and evidence of means. The case has been adjourned to July 22 for hearing.
