Kwara State Government says all 176 people abducted during the February 3 attack on Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama LGA have regained their freedom. The victims were taken after suspected Boko Haram-linked gunmen on motorcycles attacked the rural communities in a raid that reportedly lasted several hours. The attack was reported to have killed more than 200 people, injured others, destroyed homes and businesses, and displaced residents. Local vigilantes who tried to resist the attackers were reportedly overwhelmed.
