Edo Trader Osifo Stanley Invests ₦100m in APC Presidential Form to Challenge Tinubu

Edo Trader Osifo Stanley Invests ₦100m in APC Presidential Form to Challenge Tinubu

Stanley Osifo, an APC chieftain from Edo State, has purchased the party’s ₦100 million expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 presidential ticket. The acquisition signals his intention to contest President Bola Tinubu’s bid. A video released by the APC national chairman’s media team confirmed the payment and collection of the forms. At a press briefing in Abuja, Osifo denied receiving any financial backing from Tinubu. He said his decision is driven by personal conviction and that party endorsements must follow constitutional rules. The APC has scheduled its presidential primary for May 23, 2026. INEC lists party primaries between April 23 and May 30, 2026, ahead of general elections in January and February 2027.

Spending ₦100 million on nomination forms doesn't guarantee grassroots support or party backing for a presidential bid.

Is he really challenging Tinubu, or just creating headlines without a clear campaign strategy?

Edo voters should watch how Osifo builds grassroots networks before judging his ₦100m form purchase.
