Help Identify Family of 2-Year-Old Girl Found Abandoned at Benin City Park — 1 of 5
1 / 5

The Edo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development is appealing for public assistance to trace the relatives of a two-year-old girl discovered alone at Ramat Park in Benin City. The child, known as Treasure, was found by a good Samaritan on Thursday and the case was reported to Ikpoba Hill Police Station. After preliminary inquiries by the State Criminal Investigation Department, she was handed over to the ministry and is now in a safe environment, receiving care and protection. Anyone with information about Treasure’s family is encouraged to visit the Ministry’s office on the ground floor of Block C, State Secretariat Complex, Benin City. The ministry stresses that every child deserves a loving and secure home and hopes that a swift public response will lead to her reunion with loved ones.
