Amaechi Camp Labels Imo ADC Primary a ‘Sham’, Demands Fresh Vote

The Rotimi Amaechi team in Imo State has rejected the outcome of the African Democratic Congress presidential primary that reportedly declared Atiku Abubakar the winner. According to Chigozie Alex, Convener of the Movement for Amaechi’s Presidency, most wards lacked polling units, officials, and materials. Accredited agents were excluded and returning officers were accused of colluding with a rival camp. The group is calling on the ADC national leadership to annul the Imo primary and organise a transparent, inclusive direct primary across all wards with full access for accredited agents.
