Wike Says Tinubu Is the Only Candidate Who Can Win Rivers in 2027

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike says President Bola Tinubu is the only candidate capable of winning Rivers State in the 2027 presidential election. Speaking at his monthly media chat in Abuja, Wike urged political observers to exclude Rivers from their calculations unless they are counting votes for Tinubu. He said a cross-party coalition involving members of the PDP, APC, Labour Party, Action Alliance and other groups had agreed to work together in Rivers State. According to him, the coalition will support candidates considered acceptable to the people, regardless of their party affiliation. Wike maintained that the alliance is focused on securing development for Rivers State and supporting Tinubu’s re-election. He also cited his experience in Rivers politics and claimed his influence comes from the trust residents have in his leadership.
