Lagos Boosts Neighbourhood Safety with Upgraded Community Policing
The Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency has ramped up grassroots security across the state. Officers now benefit from enhanced training, improved logistics and stronger intelligence gathering. High-tech patrol equipment and emergency response tools have been provided to boost operational efficiency. Collaboration with other security agencies has also been intensified for faster, coordinated reactions to threats. During a recent ministerial briefing, officials revealed that the US Ambassador and representatives from the US Department of State visited the agency. They explored partnerships in community policing and the fight against human trafficking. Frontline personnel have seen two allowance increases in three years. They now access dedicated medical clinics for first responders and receive extra security gadgets to support field operations.
