FUPRE Student Fatally Stabbed by Brother in Hostel Slipper Dispute

On June 16th at FUPRE’s hostel C, a 100-level student reportedly died after being stabbed by his older brother. The Vice-Chancellor confirmed the victim lost his life following the attack on the university premises. Sources say the siblings had a long-running argument that escalated over a pair of bathroom slippers. The elder brother is said to have lured the younger student to the hostel backyard to settle the dispute, then allegedly attacked him before fleeing. Despite his injuries, the victim managed to reach another section of the hostel, where fellow students discovered him and raised the alarm. He was rushed to a medical facility but succumbed to his wounds.
