Why Peter Obi Opted for the ADC: A Closer Look

I can’t find any logical reason for Peter Obi’s decision to join the Allied Democratic Congress (ADC). He once accused that group of corruption and criminality, yet now he aligns himself with a party facing internal disputes for over two years. His supporters defended the move, but many valid concerns were raised long before he joined. I’m also puzzled by his recent meeting with Malami after years of criticism during the previous administration. What changed?

Did Obi cite specific policy shifts or alliances within ADC that outweighed his earlier criticisms of their corruption?

I no think corruption story alone fit explain such move, maybe he sees better platform or strategy overall.

It does look contradictory that he once slammed the ADC for corruption yet now joins a party embroiled in long-running internal disputes.

I'm not convinced we understand his full motives well enough to dismiss the move as mere political opportunism.

A useful step might be analyzing ADC's policy proposals versus his previous platform to judge if real alignment exists.
