Awaziem Benched as Nantes and Brest Play Out 1-1 Ligue 1 Draw

Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem remained an unused substitute as FC Nantes were held to a 1-1 draw by Brest in Sunday’s Ligue 1 fixture. Nantes flew out of the blocks and took the lead in the eighth minute through Mohamed. They controlled possession for much of the first half but couldn’t add to their advantage. The second half turned dramatic when Nantes’ Assoumani was sent off after a VAR review and coach Vahid Halilhodzic followed with a red card, reducing the hosts to nine men. Brest seized the moment, with Chardonnet levelling deep into stoppage time.
