Secrets to Longevity II: Stand Firm and Fight Spiritual Battles
Today’s theme is “Secrets to Longevity II.” Our memory verse is James 4:7: “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” We also read Ephesians 6:10–17, which calls us to put on the whole armour of God to stand against spiritual forces. Yesterday, I shared keys to a long spiritual journey. Today, I discuss the importance of knowing when to fight. When the devil attacks, we must not run or make bargains with him. We resist him immediately with the sword of the Spirit — the word of God. The passage reminds us that there is no armour for our back, so fleeing invites attack. When we sense spiritual threats in our marriage, ministry, or business, we confront them with scripture and prayer rather than rely on physical solutions alone. Key point: Never turn your back on the devil. Stand firm, use God’s word, and fight every spiritual battle.
