The husband of the Ahoro Esinle School principal in Oyo State led a special thanksgiving service on July 12. His wife and 43 students were abducted in Oriire local government area on May 15 and safely released on July 12. At First Baptist Church, Professor Alamu joined worshippers in singing praises and dancing in gratitude for their safe return. Video clips shared on social media show him raising his hands and singing “Hallelujah” as the congregation celebrated the reunion of his wife and the other victims.
