Many assume Solidstar’s “One in a Million” exploded onto the scene overnight. But Ossy Achievas reveals it nearly missed the mark. After recording several tracks between 2007 and 2009, Solidstar still lacked that special spark. Ossy urged him to try something different—a proper, emotional love song that laid the foundation for the eventual hit. By chance at Festac’s Comfort Suites, legendary producer OJB Jezreel heard the demo, crafted a beat in under 40 minutes and suggested featuring 2Baba. That collaboration and Solidstar’s first major Abuja performance sent the song skyward. The video shoot at Erin Ijesha Waterfalls, led by Clarence Peters, was a bold, costly gamble that paid off. It shows how one decision, one session or one piece of advice can change everything.
