Why I’m Disappointed in Pastors Who Don’t Challenge Bad Governance
I believe pastors should rebuke corrupt governments, not benefit from them. Yet many local clergy praise politicians who misuse our resources while ordinary Nigerians suffer. This betrayal makes my generation feel like failures. Politicians lavish public funds on themselves and send relatives abroad to study. Still, pastors accept and even praise the same money they’re meant to hold leaders accountable with. We’ve forgotten our rights as citizens. That’s why voices like Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who challenge the status quo, end up targeted instead of the real culprits.
