Army Frees Four Kidnap Victims Seen with Late Maj-Gen Abubakar in Katsina
The Nigerian Army has rescued four men held by a notorious bandit gang during recent operations in Katsina State. The efforts targeted the stronghold of leader Kachalla Muhammadu Fulani and his followers. The freed captives are Musa Yakuba (62), Alhaji Saadu Dayi (68), Mukhtar Danja (36) and Salisu Danja (50). All four bore gunshot wounds and received immediate medical care after being freed. Earlier, the wife of the late Major General Rabe Abubakar had also been rescued in a related mission. The Katsina State Government praised the bravery and professionalism of the military and other security agencies. Authorities said operations will continue until all those responsible for terrorising communities are brought to justice. Residents have been assured of ongoing patrols and joint efforts to secure lives and property.
