Paul Ibe Asks DSS to Summon Sunday Igboho Over Claims of Political Kidnap Sponsors
Atiku Abubakar’s media aide, Paul Ibe, has urged the Department of State Services and other security agencies to invite campaigner Sunday Adeyemo, a.k.a. Sunday Igboho, to reveal the names of politicians he alleges are funding kidnappers in Oyo State. Ibe made the appeal on social media, stressing that credible information could help rescue abducted students and teachers in Oriire Local Government and dismantle the networks behind these attacks. His call followed Igboho’s recent meeting with student leaders, where he claimed he knew the political backers supplying ammunition and money to kidnappers. The aide also questioned why the federal government remained silent after more than 50 schoolchildren were abducted in Mussa, Borno State, in mid-May. He asked when Borno and other vulnerable states would receive the same urgent attention and security measures seen in Oyo. With school kidnappings on the rise across Nigeria, Ibe’s intervention highlights growing pressure on authorities to investigate alleged political sponsorship of criminal gangs and secure the prompt release of victims.
