Victor Osimhen’s ₦81M Round-Trip Jet Habit: Lagos Is His ‘Miami’

Victor Osimhen’s ₦81M Round-Trip Jet Habit: Lagos Is His ‘Miami’ — 1 of 13
1 / 13

Victor Osimhen charters a Cessna Citation Latitude for his weekend runs between Istanbul and Lagos. He covers the 4,600 km flight in about six-and-a-half hours to spend a few days at home. Each trip costs roughly $45,000 to $60,000 — that’s around ₦60 million to ₦81 million per flight. As football’s highest-earning Nigerian, he prefers pay-as-you-go charters over outright ownership. Osimhen says he loves returning to Lagos, calling it “my Miami.” The jet’s low cabin altitude and flat-floor cabin help him avoid jet lag and arrive ready to perform.

How reliable are these ₦81M estimates, and do they factor in how often he really flies back to Lagos?

This level of spending might seem wasteful, yet it's just business for top football talents who value comfort and privacy.

Clubs or individual players might negotiate long-term charter contracts to secure lower per-flight rates and improve consistency.
