Warmate Slams Amachree’s Shift as Political Betrayal

Warmate Slams Amachree’s Shift as Political Betrayal

In a recent interview, Comrade Daboikiabo Z. Warmate criticized Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree for abandoning his long-time mentor, Minister Wike. Warmate noted that Amachree’s rise in Asari-Toru LGA was largely due to Wike’s backing, including roles as executive and caretaker chairman and a federal appointment in the NSA’s office. Warmate described Amachree’s new allegiance to NSA Nuhu Ribadu as a breach of trust and political ingratitude. He warned that such public shifts undermine loyalty, gratitude and the integrity of leadership. According to him, consistent principle is essential for stable governance. He urged emerging leaders to build credibility on character, not convenience. Warmate argued that repeated realignments without clear values erode public confidence and weaken Rivers State’s political fabric.

Perhaps political shifts are inevitable, and calling it outright betrayal might ignore the normal give-and-take in local campaigns.

Voters should look at each candidate's recent achievements in Asari-Toru LGA instead of focusing only on past alliances.
