1 / 6

Victor Osimhen returned from injury in style, scoring the winner for Galatasaray in the Istanbul derby and keeping his side on track for the Super Lig crown. Asisat Oshoala netted twice and set up a goal in Al Hilal’s opening Saudi League victory, while Chiamaka Nnadozie produced a string of saves to help Brighton shock Manchester City. WAFCON hero Esther Okoronkwo marked her NWSL comeback with a goal and an assist. Midfield maestro Frank Onyeka delivered a stoppage-time assist to clinch Coventry City’s Championship title. Debutants Tochukwu Nnadi and Nathan Tella also provided key assists in Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga respectively. Other highlights included strong defensive displays from Calvin Bassey, Samuel Chukwueze, Ola Aina and Wilfred Ndidi’s leadership in Besiktas’ Turkish Cup success. Nigerian exports continued to light up stadiums across Europe and beyond.

Clubs should track injury returns carefully; Osimhen's swift comeback highlights the value of gradual reintegration and thorough fitness monitoring.
